Designated in 2021, the Goose Gap AVA is located in south-central Washington State within the Yakima Valley and Columbia Valley AVA's. The AVA's 8,129 acres is unique in that it is oriented in an east to west direction whereas other AVA's nearby are in a northwest to southeast orientation.
